Generate

Generate is a software application powered by CEDS. It is designed to improve data quality and automate reporting for state education agencies (SEAs) through standardization. Data from SEA’s SLDS are loaded into the CEDS Integrated Data Store.

Generate is built using CEDS properties, definitions, and option sets. CEDS Connections identify the CEDS data properties necessary for each EDFacts file specification or SPP/APR indicator. The CEDS Connections also define how the properties are used for aggregations, filtering, and calculations. Once the SEA’s data have been mapped to the CEDS data properties in the Align tool, the myConnect tool applies the CEDS Connections to the SEA Align map to identify the presence or absence of properties necessary for reporting.
